About the Author:

Jill Pirolo is a Traumatic Brain Injury and cancer survivor. She traveled throughout the US with her family at a young age, but never east of Wisconsin, from where her father hails. Except for a few trips into Mexico and Canada, she stayed close to home until her mid-thirties, when she and two friends decided to do something different and traveled to Italy and France. That trip - and the many that followed – changed her life and inspired her to pursue an education, starting with Spanish classes and culminating with an AA degree just 10 days before a motorcycle accident that would change her life once again. The name of this book was sparked, in part, by the many times Jill would relate her adventures to others, and someone would say, “I’ll travel when I retire.” Now, she can only shake her head and say, “Live your life!” She is currently living happily in Southern California, spending time with family and friends, enjoying occasional trips to museums, live performances, and even the demolition derby!
