The last chapter of this section I walk you through how I learn new software and applications. � Technology is everywhere and section 3 highlights some of the technology that we use every day including: photos, media, communications and options available in some newer models of cars. � Section 4 begins with how the internet works and concludes with the basics of social media. Along the way I discuss the search engine and blogging. I have included an extensive glossary of terms. I have also included many ways that you can get in touch with me to ask questions, offer suggestions for future books and receive technology tips (#techtips) and information on future books. We are not dummies we have just been busy for the last 20 years. So fix a drink (recipes included) sit back and get caught up.

About the Author

Becky Patton Logan began teaching computer applications in the early 90's when businesses were transitioning fro DOS to Windows. She has taught thousands of students a wide variety of software applications. After spending the last decade or so home raising her two children Becky re-entered the business world where she quickly realized technology had advanced with her. It dawned on her that if she was overwhelmed with the technological advances of the last 2 decades other women of her generation were probably feeling the same way. The Retired Housewife's Guides for the Technically Challenged was born.
