Evolution In Medicine. How are you? Are you well? Do you remember what it is to feel good? Or maybe you never felt good, or very good, through your whole life. Feeling good happens for a reason. It is when all the cells of your body have what they need to function properly. That is the reason we feel well.
Cells need to be fed by the right food: proteins; fats; glucides (carbohydrates); vitamins; nutrients; and minerals. The cells need to receive the right hormones in optimal quantities on their receptors to tell them what work to do. Yes, cells need to be told what to do by hormones. Cells need not be disturbed by poisons (pesticides, heavy metals, etc.). Chronic inflammation disturbs the cells too. Bad food or food allergies can result in chronic inflammation. Food that makes insulin high leads to chronic inflammation. To be healthy means feeling good in your brain, blood vessels, muscles, joints, skin, and the cells of your body. And, if you feel bad, we will look for the real causes!
Let me present myself: Dr. Pierre Cloutier, a medical doctor trained in medical school (University of Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada), with 30 years experience in emergency and general practice.
Fifteen years ago, I realized that a patient s sickness was not caused by a lack of medication. So, I had to look for the real causes and study the physiology. Through those years, I attended many world-class medical conferences. I met very good doctors who taught me a lot. I studied two to three hours a day, reading a book per week, and researching health magazines and health newsletters. I compiled a vast amount of compelling information about the latest medical studies and research.
In this book, I will try to share that medical knowledge with you. In my practice, I see one patient at a time. It is slow. But with this book, I hope to help many!
My definition of real medicine is to understand and reestablish the optimal physiology of the human. The goal is to find and correct the reasons for the dysfunction that causes a disease.
Alternative medicine means adding foreign molecules (medications or natural products) to the body in order to improve the patient. Both are good, but the best medicine is to find and treat the cause of the illness.
"Add years to your life, and life to your years." "The cause of disease is never a lack of medication."

Dr. Pierre Cloutier is a medical doctor trained in regular medical school (University of Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada), with 30 years experience in emergency and general practice.
I have known Dr. Pierre Cloutier for a few decades and have had many opportunities to discuss with him many aspects of his understanding of human physiology. Pierre's knowledge is not only based on a lot of readings, studies and attendances to scientific meetings but is also based on a lot of practical day to day experiences in managing aging patients with a lot of different issues. His book benefits from this vast experience and summarizes in simple practical terms what people should know and understand in how to optimized their physiology for an optimal quality of life. I highly recommend his book to anyone with an interest in this field. --Michel Bazinet, MD Montreal, Canada.
I have being practicing as a family doctor for over 30 yrs and attended an abundance of medical conferences to understand for myself and to treat my patients on how to maintain a healthy body and sound mind as we age. I believe that Dr. Pierre in this book has capsulized an enormous amount of information and laid it out in a clear and easy to understand format. It addresses for both the health care professional and interested persons logical actions to take to regain or maintain health no matter the age. --Dr Brigitte Monrose C.C.F.P. I loved this book! I have read too many wellness books to count but this is the best. Dr. Cloutier managed to get very important information across without being overly technical. Some books I read go so far over my head that I sometimes have to re-read them over and over again just to make sure I am understanding. I was especially pleased with the information on biodentical hormones. I LOVE using biodenticals and after reading this book I learned some new things about them. I am giving a copy of this book to my mother, sisters and female friends. Hopefully women will read it and share the information with their spouse since it can be a challenge getting some men to be as pro-active as women in regards to health and wellness. If everyone read this book and implemented the suggestions it would be a wonderful thing. Looking health and feeling healthy is something I strive for and in an ideal world, everyone would! This book was perfect timing for me because at this stage of my life (40's) I have been searching for some clear, precise guidance on many health topics and now I have it!!! I also appreciate he gives clear instruction on supplementation amounts. Most wellness books recommend a supplement but don't say how much. Read the book, Im going to read it again..you will not be disappointed!! --Amazon Review
