About the Author

Daniel Bay Gibbons began writing his first book--an historical novel set in England in the time of the Norman Conquest--at the age of fourteen. Since then, Dan has written constantly, producing several works of fiction as well as volumes of history, biography and inspiration. Through May of 2015 Dan has published nine books. Though he started writing very young, Dan had to wait forty years to pursue his passion full time. He first finished his education, earning degrees in history and law, and pursued his legal career, working for twenty-five years as a trial attorney and judge. In 2011 Dan left the legal profession to serve for three years as an unpaid Mormon mission president in Russia. Dan and his wife, Julie, lived in Novosibirsk, Russia and traveled extensively throughout Russia, Central Asia, Eastern Europe and Asia Minor, eventually covering more than 750,000 miles! Upon their return to the U.S. in 2014, Dan and Julie formed a micro-publishing company called Sixteen Stones Press, and are now engaged full-time in a life of writing, editing and publishing. Married for thirty-five years, Dan and Julie have five children and five grandchildren. Dan loves books, reads ancient Greek and speaks German and Russian. He is also a dedicated long distance runner and has completed seven marathons and several half-marathons.
