About the Author:
For many years, Marcia Fishman has maintained a passion for travel, as well as a strong interest in the study of cultural linguistics. Inspired by a trip to South Africa, this book is a union of the two. Marcia has had a career in the non-profit world since 1976, and wrote a previous children's book, Rudolph's Nose Knows. She holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan in Speech and Communications and a master's degree from Oakland University in Linguistics.
