KENNY MORGAN (1946–2011) was an author, science teacher, and naturalist. He was celebrated in turkey hunting circles for his vast knowledge of wild turkey behavior gathered from decades of observation and experience in the field. He authored America, Wild Turkeys & Mongrel Dogs: Life Lessons from a Hunting Master. As a memoir, Morgan’s collection of essays of wisdom & wit recalls turkey hunting stories, and invites readers to standards for reviving small community values in America. Published posthumously by his wife, Sally Stuart Morgan in 2014 in a coffee table format with lush photography of wildlife & Southern landscapes, Morgan's writing is a celebration of the joy that is all around us, especially in the outdoors. Morgan penned Turkey Hunting: A One Man Game, a popular classic technique book in 1987, and received a patent in 1973 for The Morgan Caller, selling more than 10,000 of his custom wild turkey callers. Kenny was revered as a skilled hunter who shared the gospel of the sport -- and love of the Creation--with a sizable community of brethren. A Louisiana native, Kenny spent his later years in College Station, Texas, with his wife Sally and their two children.
