About the Author

Native Georgia resident Denise Weimer earned her journalism degree with a minor in history from Asbury University. Her magazine articles about Northeast Georgia have appeared in numerous regional publications. She is a wife and mother, a life-long historian, and the director of a mid-1800s dance group the 1860s Civilian Society of Georgia. Her first novel in the Georgia Gold Series, Sautee Shadows, was released in April 2013.
