Synopsis

Only the one known as The Blood can save Lrakira . . . but is there time? The women of Lrakira have begun to die and the Stones have chosen Renloret to rescue Lrakira’s only hope of survival, a five-year-old child living on Teramar. When his ship crashes on Teramar, Renloret races against time to find the child whose blood carries the cure for his people. But the child cannot be found, and to complicate matters, Renloret is falling in love with Ani, a female Teramaran blade ring champion with serious alien issues and a need to be accepted for who she is. Renloret must choose between the survival of his species and the love of his life. The future of two worlds, Lrakira and Teramar, hang in the balance and everything depends on Renloret.

About the Author

Allynn Riggs began telling stories before she could write them down, and after being nagged and cajoled by a determined collection of fictional characters for many years, she surrendered and shifted careers to tell their stories. The Stone's Blade series began innocently enough as a short story written when she was fourteen. The characters of Ani, Kela, Taryn, and Renloret have never left her imagination or dreams and waited patiently until she was ready to share their worlds with you. The Balance is the second installment and closely follows the story begun in The Blood. The third book is currently in the outline stage.

When Allynn is not writing, she avidly participates in and teaches square dancing and hunts big game. The mother of three grown daughters, Allynn resides in Centennial, Colorado, with her husband, Bob.
