About the Author:

As a victim’s rights attorney who has handled more than 5,000 accident, personal injury and wrongful death cases, Jason Turchin dedicated most of his professional career fighting for victims. He is a Super Lawyer's Rising Star and loves the opportunity to help people.

Over the years, Jason has been fortunate to have handled many newsworthy cases and legally significant cases, including some involving texting while driving, bar liability, complex traffic homicide investigations, and thousands of other car accident cases.

Jason has a law degree from University of Miami School of Law and an undergraduate degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice from University of Maryland, College Park. While in law school and post-graduation, he worked for attorney Roy Black, Esq. at Black, Srebnick, Kornspan, and Stumpf, learning the importance of fighting for the rights of clients and navigating through our system of justice.

He then spent nearly six years as a lead attorney at an experienced high-volume, personal injury firm in Miami, building a practice focused on the rights of accident victims and pursuing settlements and verdicts against insurance companies that often tried to take advantage of these victims.

In 2008, he founded the Law Offices of Jason Turchin, and represents accident victims throughout all of Florida, New York, Washington, D.C., and other states, often with co-counsel. He is admitted to practice law in all state courts in Florida, New York, and Washington, D.C., as well as the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Middle District of Florida, and Northern District of Florida, U.S. Court of Appeals for the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 11th Circuits, and U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

Car insurance is very confusing in general, and if someone is under the additional pressure of trying to understand it while dealing with a car accident, this book is a godsend!
