"Back when I lived in Los Angeles, an airline messed up my flight and, to make it up to me, they gave me a free round-trip ticket to anywhere they flew in the United States. Can you guess what I said to that? "I'M GOING TO WALT DISNEY WORLD!" My friend Elizabeth was living in Florida at the time and had just recently quit her job at the resort. Her ex co-workers were nice enough to give us free tickets for Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios--then called Disney-MGM Studios--and Pleasure Island, which has since been turned into part of Disney Springs. It was my first time visiting Walt Disney World and, of course, it was fabulous. I remember it was so odd to walk into Magic Kingdom and feel like I was in Disneyland, knowing I was nowhere near it!
     Fast-forward many years to the launch of my Going To Guides series with "Going To Disneyland: A Guide For Kids & Kids at Heart" and later "Going To Disney California Adventure: A Guide For Kids & Kids at Heart." The number one question people asked me was, "Are you going to create a book for Florida?" My answer, of course: YES!!! I was SO excited to go back and visit Walt Disney World again on "Research Expeditions."
     Most people love their "home park" best and Disneyland will always be the most special to me but I love, love, LOVE Magic Kingdom.
