Initially, Laura (Finlay Smith) approached me with the idea of collaborating. When she learned of The Tia Collection's complementary holdings, the synergy became apparent. We approached UAMA Curator of Exhibitions and Education, Olivia Miller, with the idea; it was she who conceived the approach of pairing or grouping works from the collection based on intersections between the artworks. This approach offers the opportunity to view the collection, which spans three continents, through a variety of lenses". - W.
