Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. Garage owner and expert tuner, Harry Lester was one of the most successful sports car competitors in the late 40s and early 50s. He built his own car which was so successful that a trio of wealthy young amateur racers formed a team " The Monkey Stable" and enjoyed much success in their first year1952. The team then moved to Kieft MGs in 1953 and back to Lesters in 1954.The tean drove twice for Bristol at Le Mans and on of their number, Pat Griffith, briefly became a works driver for Aston Martin where he partnered Peter Collins in a number of long distance races.
