From the Author:

I wrote this book in response to a request from Madi's teacher to "help the staff and students see the world from Madi's perspective." The series has grown to include 3 other books about Madi, and one about her younger brother Thomas, who also has Autism Spectrum Disorder. Writing these books helped me understand just how challenging life can be for people who see the world differently. It is my hope that these books will help all of us to grow in empathy and kindness, especially for parents of 'differently gifted' children.
