Ruth L. Snyder ventured into the virtual world of Twitter in 2009. As an upcoming writer she knew she should be sharing her work on a broader scale by building her "platform". Since then, as an author, she has used Twitter to share quotes from her articles and books, notify people about blog posts, meet and interact with readers, other, authors, publishers, and agents, ask for feedback, and even find information on topics she is researching. She manages to do all of this by spending an average of ten minutes or less a day on Twitter. Ruth was privileged to spend the first ten years of her life in southern Africa where her parents served as missionaries. From there her family moved to Canada, settling in Three Hills, Alberta. Ruth enjoyed her years as a "staff kid" at Prairie and is grateful for the biblical grounding she received there. She now resides near Glendon, Alberta, along with her husband and five children. Ruth enjoys writing articles, devotionals, short stories, and Christian fiction. She is a member of The Word Guild and The Christian PEN. Ruth currently serves as the president of InScribe Christian Writers' Fellowship.
