Bursting with energy and exuberance, FINTAN FEDORA is a delightfully silly page-turner. In the deepest, darkest jungle grows something of such immense value that men will do ANYTHING to get their hands on it: the elusive and delicious chocoplum! Well-meaning but hapless Fintan Fedora is determined to prove to his father, owner of the Fedora Fancy Food Company, that he will one day be good enough to take over the family business - so he sets out to find the rare chocoplum before anyone else. Little does Fintan know that there are two totally incompetent kidnappers on his tail, as well as an evil business mogul who wants the chocoplum for himself.

Just like Fintan Fedora, Clive Goddard loves to travel. And just like Fintan, his travels around the world have often ended up being a bit disastrous. He was once chased by an angry ostrich in Swaziland, stranded in the USA by a volcanic eruption and had his rucksack soaked by a leaky toilet in the Netherlands. He got food poisoning in Thailand, sunburn in Hawaii, heatstroke in Namibia and was bitten on the foot by a venomous spider in South Africa. He lost his camera in Tasmania, lost himself in Japan and got robbed in China (twice). He still loves travelling, though. Before writing the Fintan books Clive Goddard was an illustrator for the Horribly Famous series and still draws cartoons for newspapers and magazines. When not writing or drawing or getting lost, Clive lives in East Oxford with his wife, two children, three cats and a giant slug named Bernard.
