Abigail Wurf, M.Ed, PCC, founder and president of Abigail Wurf Coaching, LLC, specializes in private and group coaching for professionals, entrepreneurs and small business owners affected by ADHD and/or Executive Function Issues. She also leads masterminds, conducts self-directed programs, webinars, teleseminars, workshops and speaking engagements. She has given sessions at national meetings of major organizations in the ADHD field, contributed to three well-received books in the field, serves on the national board of the ADHD Coaches Organization, and now has published Forget Perfect. Her clients credit her with asking strategic questions that motivate them to take action and for having a wonderful sense of humor that helps them deal with tough situations. Abigail found her first calling in the arts, starting with pre-ballet at age four. After completing her BA in history, she pursued her passion for the arts as a dancer, choreographer, teacher and co-founder of Arts in Motion in St. Louis, and assistant director of the Mid American Dance Company. A serious back injury and unsuccessful surgery ended her dance career. Before returning to study for an advanced degree, she sought an evaluation for learning difficulties and found out that she had ADHD severe enough to fall under the American with Disabilities Act. She earned her M.Ed, learned to manage chronic pain, and sought a second career in the field of coaching, with an emphasis on ADHD. Abigail Wurf received her Professional Coaching Certification (PCC) from the International Coaches Federation. She received her Master's in Education at Temple University. Around 2009, Abigail returned to her hometown of Washington, DC and now happily lives within a block of where she grew up.

Abigail Wurf has condensed years of personal and professional experience into a book that covers much of what a person with ADD or ADHD needs to know to successfully navigate a world where often the seemingly little things can be often present the biggest problems. This is an easy-to-read, how-to-coach-yourself-to-success handbook for adults with ADD/ADHD. It is also a good read for anyone who lives or works with an adult with ADD/ADHD. I am recommending it to everyone!

Readers will experience immediate, welcome relief with the title alone! Forget Perfect clearly suggests that the misconception many hold that "EVERYONE ELSE IS PERFECT" can be dispelled forever! Abigail Wurf has contributed a fresh "How to..." for living more effectively with ADHD, and includes steps to achieve this goal. It's one thing to state that we all need to "communicate more clearly at work," and quite another to outline concrete options that drive home the point.
