About the Author

Shweta Chopra: Having lived in three different countries as a child, Shweta acquired a worldly appreciation of cultures at a young age and knows what it's like growing up with a diverse background. Now raising a 3-year-old daughter of her own, she understands the challenges parents face in making culture fun and relevant to their young children. She hopes to continue creating engaging content for young readers to experience the beauty and diversity of India and inspire pride in their heritage. Shweta is a molecular biologist and a marketing professional who has now added author to her list of professions, publishing The Diwali Gift as her first book. When not creating books or Apps, she loves trotting the globe with her husband and daughter. Shuchi Mehta - After spending her entire childhood enjoying the smells, sights and sounds of beautiful India, Shuchi is passionate about sharing those wonderful experiences with the rest of the world. As a mother of twin boys, who are early readers themselves, she knows the importance of providing children with content that is non-violent, engaging and relatable. As a marketing professional with a MBA, The Diwali Gift is Shuchi's first book which she hopes will bring India a bit closer to children all around the world. Shuchi loves to explore new trails around San Francisco Bay Area with her husband and boys.
