Synopsis

Two 30-year-old friends from Richmond, Virginia feel the call to adventure in their lives. When Will's grandfather, a WWII Veteran, dies close to the 50th Anniversary of the Battle of Dutch Harbor, the men decide to go backpacking in Alaska to walk in his footsteps. Once there, they encounter odd behavior by the locals and a much more intimate walk with WWII than expected. A shocking discovery while on their last hike puts them in fear for their lives. Could this be a real WWII time warp, they wonder. But the danger is real, and before they understand the scope of what they have truly uncovered, it will also put the lives of their loved ones in Virginia at risk. About the Author

William "Bill" Selvey is a World War II Veteran who served as a member of the Army Air force (AAF), stationed in Germany from 1945-1946. He earned his pilot's license at 80 years old. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Concord University, a Master of Science in Biology from West Virginia University, and a Master of Science in Hospital Administration from the Medical College of Virginia/Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine. Selvey is recognized as a founding member of the Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters in Norfolk, Virginia, where he was the hospital's first administrator in 1961. Today, it is known as the leading children's hospital in southeastern Virginia and the only free-standing children's hospital in the state. He and Bertie Sue Selvey, his wife of 42 years, started Kensington Bed and Breakfast, which they operated as co-owners for 29 years. They hosted many visitors to the Richmond area, including some well-known authors and a few celebrities who were in town to shoot movies. Bill lives in Richmond, Virginia where he writes songs that he performs with his baritone ukulele. Parallel Reality is the first book he has authored, and at 92 years young, the adventures continue. His precepts for living a good life is to always treat others with civility, make a difference wherever possible, and to live life to the fullest.
