About the Author

After graduating from the California State University system with a Bachelors in Marketing and Management and a Masters in Business Administration, John Kyle couldn't help but notice his fellow students were knowledgable in mathematics, sciences, arts, and a plethora of other academic areas, however they couldn't seem to perform the most basic of tasks in life. He set out on a journey to bring to you a satirical how-to, otherwise known as Grow the F*ck Up, in order to give others the knowledge their parents should have taught them and school never did.

In order to shed some humor on everyday life, John Kyle wanted to create a novelty item with endless possibilities. If you happen to have a high school or college graduation just around the corner, hand a copy to the graduate. If the always hilarious game of White Elephant is being played on Christmas Eve or some other time this Holiday season, wrap up a copy and watch hilarity ensue. If Yankee Swap needs pick-me-up or if your Secret Santa gift exchange is a little stale, spice it up a bit with this gag gift. Whether your son or daughter is 16 going on 17 or 18 going on 21, this novelty item makes the perfect birthday present for him or her. Nieces, nephews, boyfriends, girlfriends, best friends and strangers alike can all benefit from the variety of tasks that are taught in this one-of-a-kind book. As one of the top gifts under $20 and even sometimes under $15 if you catch a sale, be sure to grab a copy over the Xmas season or when a graduation or birthday comes about.

From the Back Cover

Warning: This novel contains vulgar language and may not be suitable for children.

With over 40 tasks that every young adult should be able to perform, Grow the F*ck Up offers late teens and young adults lessons they never received at home or in the classroom. This satirical, blunt, and straightforward novel is sure to be the perfect gift to teach and entertain while giving a swift kick in the ass along the way.

Sadly, most young people leave high school, and even college with even a diploma or two, yet they lack the common sense and knowledge required to perform everyday tasks that will serve them their entire lives. Sometimes, something that seems so incredible simple really isn't, especially if you have never had the opportunity to do it before. Back in the day parents, teachers, and other mentors taught young people elementary tasks. However, in today's fast paced, digitally driven society those teachable moments are rarely experienced. Never fear... you can bet your sweet ass you're about to gain a wealth of knowledge with Grow the F*ck Up.

The novel itself contains six chapters surrounding automotive, clothing, employment, financial, grilling, home improvement, and miscellaneous advice. Within each chapter you will find a plethora of how-tos including how to change a car battery, jump a vehicle, tie a tie, sew a decent button, create a resume and cover letter, prepare for a job interview, understand a 401k, write a check, apply for college loans, cook a steak, use a grill (both gas and charcoal), reset an electrical breaker, turn off the power to your home, and much, much more. Give the perfect graduation, birthday, and gag gift by picking up a copy today.
