Synopsis
Since Colombia is fourth in the Americas (and sixth in the world) in terms of mammal richness, you'll be glad you slipped a copy of Rainforest Publication's pocket field guide to the mammals of Colombia in your backpack when you want to figure out what you are looking at while you are out exploring.
Mark Wainwright's detailed, scientifically accurate illustrations have been printed in full color with UV resistant ink, extremely durable waterproof laminate which will hold up to many trips into the field and around the coffee table to help remind you of what you saw.
In this guide there are 110 terrestrial, aquatic, and aereal mammals (of the 526 species recorded in the country). The illustrations are accompanied by the name of the mammal in English, Latin, and Spanish; the size of the mammal and the track., yet it easily folds up and slips into your pocket or backpack. Folded, it is only 3.5" (9cm) by 8.75" (22cm). When spread flat it is approx. 24" (61cm) by 8.75" (22 cm). You get twelve 9cm by 22cm "pages" of critters plus front and back cover pages.
