Coach Hamza’s Journal for Athletes…in Ramadan is a writing companion for Athletes who plan to train and/or compete during the Holy Month of Ramadan. This journal is for Athletes of all ages, sports, and competition levels. Whether you are a Professional Athlete, High School Athlete, or a stay-at-home dad who wants to workout during Ramadan, this Journal is for you. Track your progress and develop the habit of discipline during Ramadan. The difference between a professional and an amateur is consistency. To take your game, your life, and spirituality to the next level, focus on being consistent.
Allah’s Apostle ﷺ said, “Do good deeds properly, sincerely, and moderately and know that your deeds will not make you enter Paradise, and that the most beloved deed to Allah is the most regular and constant even if it were little.” (Sahih al-Bukhari 6464, Book 81, Hadith 53)
Take a small step and invest in your Dunyah and your Akhirah by strengthening yourself daily during Ramadan. Ramadan is when the good deeds are plenty so be intentional with your worship and use your workouts as a form of worship. Begin with good intentions, write those intentions, then execute.
This journal was developed by a former professional athlete who fasted while competing at the highest level of American football. In it, the Athlete is able to track their hydration, nutrition, training, and religious obligations during the month-long Fast. Small reminders aid the Athlete in their quest to get closer to God and their Goals.
