Synopsis
The Grande Turtle Adventure is written in rhyming prose and describes the adventures of Tica and Laurie, two leatherback turtles who meet as hatchlings and begin their separate oceanic journeys, reuniting again as adult females when they return to nest at their natal beach in Costa Rica. Through this engaging story children learn all about sea turtles, including their life cycles, habitats, threats to their survival, and conservation strategies. The colorfully illustrated narrative is presented in both English and Spanish.
