About the Author
Gerald Singer came to the Virgin Islands in 1969. He became a commercial fisherman and later managed a vacation rental villa and served as a captain and guide for what he describes as adventure boat charters. He is the author of St. John Off the Beaten Track, St. John Beach Guide, Vieques, St. Thomas and Tales of St. John and the Caribbean.
Review
First published in 1996, when St. John was a still sleepy island, this updated version provides a respite from busy Cruz Bay. The guide offers an insiders view into the quintessential St. John with its hiking trails, scrambles and gut walks.
