In both the coloring book and the full-color 'story' book version, after the story you'll find the "Shining Moments" pages which act as the bedtime story reader's cue to ask the child the most important question of the day, which is: "What was your brightest Shining Moment of the day?"  You can write it down for them or use the included "Shining Moments prompting questions" to assist in remembering the brightest one.

These recorded highlights of the child's best moments will often come in handy as dark and gray days naturally occur from time to time and... like a life raft in the storm, the child will always have a record of not only many of their best ever moments written down to re-read and remember, they'll also have a record of family artwork and words of wisdom or prized family memories written down from all of their loving, caring friends and family members they can return to and rely on, again and again.

This 'record of evidence' can save lives!

About the Author:

"Uncle Mark" Olmstead is a singer, songwriter and children's author whose mission is making a positive difference one song and one story at a time. He's recorded two CDs of original music and won the international Best Indie Book Award with his first coloring book / story book and inter-generational family keepsake, The Adventures of The True Sunbeam! He is founder of Keepsake Productions and is available through his website at TrueSunbeam.com.

Music has always played a defining role in Mark's life.  Early on he was influenced by the greats like Glen Campbell, Elvis and Dean Martin, and as a young teen, John Denver took centerstage with his musical message about taking care of the environment and awakening to the responsibility of protecting our own future.

While in the Air Force, Mark completed his first original song and won a week off work by performing it in the base talent show. Traveling and busking on the streets of New Zealand and Australia put him in touch with diverse audiences and performance opportunities. He even  performed the Beatles Sgt. Peppers Album on it's 20th Anniversary for the Melbourne City Council-hired as leader of several musicians in an 'all-busker-band.' 

Today, Mark is in a sense, continuing John Denver's mission, using his music and stories to empower people of all ages to bridge their 'environmental' differences and heal wounds of separation by focusing on moments of gratitude to bring families and the human family closer together.
