Emmett Snead grew up on Braehead Farm in Fredericksburg, Va. He has run Snead’s Farm in Caroline County, Va., since 1980, selling asparagus, pumpkins and Christmas trees, and running his popular Community Supported Agriculture program and roadside stand. He has a four-hour playlist of the best music from the ‘60s and ’70s that you can hear at the farm’s on-site field-to-fork restaurant. He doesn’t do e-mail, Facebook or Insta-anything.
