Imagine a book, like a toolkit, that students could just grab when they're stuck writing a story. That's what Chris Youles has created, based on the ideas in his popular earlier book Sentence Models for Creative Writing, which teaches pupils writing at a sentence level. This student book provides practical assistance to accompany these ideas.
Broken down into sections including setting, action, and character, each one gives students easy-to-use sentence models to use in their own writing.
These sections contain ten to twenty sentence models for students aged 7 - 18 to implement.
Chapters will also feature clear advice on writing effectively through the differing lenses, such as setting descriptions or action scenes.
