Earth, one hundred and fifty years from now. A new world sprouts from the ruins of the old.When civilization fell, the surviving remnants of humanity were forced to adapt to a mysterious shift in newborns known as the Inversion; females now grow larger than males.
Seven generations later, Tye has only ever known a world dominated by the larger, stronger She (as they call themselves), a world in which men are subordinate and powerless. Struggling for independence as a lowly freeman, Tye curses his weakness and secretly pursues the mysteries of the Before—information forbidden to all men. His quest for hidden knowledge pushes him into dangerous territory.
When he is caught with prohibited artifacts, Tye faces banishment—or worse. But in the custody of the enigmatic enforcer, Kāya, Tye sees an opportunity to salvage his freedom, if he can hide his feelings long enough...

About the Author
Canadian author G.W. Darcie studied at the universities of Waterloo and Windsor before enjoying a long career as a clinical psychologist and couples therapist. He has always been fascinated by people, science and technology, a mix that is reflected in his heartfelt speculative fiction. Former recreational pilot and scuba diver, he's still drawn to sky and water. In 2022, he was awarded First Place, New Voices: General and Literary Fiction (League of Utah Writers), for his first short story, Machine. Since then, he has won several awards for his speculative fiction novel, World of She.
