Synopsis

This book offers a comprehensive discussion on all aspects of importance regarding autism brought to my attention by many individuals over a career spanning several decades. Each chapter is broken down into small sections so that the reader can read and learn about a particular subject in a short period of time. In most cases I have tried to accommodate evidence-based science, with my personal perspectives and opinions. At the end of most sections, a series of references will allow those interested with additional reading material. In this regard, I make mention of many open access articles and internet resources that I have read and can personally vouch for their veracity. Throughout the book I have tried to follow the recommendations and guidelines of the American Medical Association and/or the American Academy of Pediatrics- for which I cite many position statements.
