Synopsis

The Einstein Theory of Relativity: A Concise Statement is a book written by Hendrik Antoon Lorentz in 1920. The book provides a succinct explanation of Albert Einstein's theory of relativity, which revolutionized the field of physics in the early 20th century. Lorentz, a Dutch physicist and Nobel laureate, was a contemporary of Einstein and played a key role in the development of the theory. In the book, he presents the theory in a clear and concise manner, making it accessible to a wider audience. The book covers the basic principles of relativity, including the concepts of time dilation and length contraction, and explains how they relate to the observed phenomena of the universe. It also discusses the implications of relativity for our understanding of space, time, and gravity. Overall, The Einstein Theory of Relativity: A Concise Statement is an essential read for anyone interested in the history and development of modern physics. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
