From the Inside Flap

'Rory Burke and Steve Barron have created an important resource for students of Project Management and practicing Project Managers alike. This well-crafted volume covers a number of important issues and techniques in leadership, not commonly treated in a didactic manner and specifically not linked so well to Project Management in other textbooks. This book is a good point of reference for ALL project managers, whatever their field.'
John Colville, Proportion, Chicago

'Project management and project leadership may both be processes but they are people-dependent and they often imply change. The value of this book and its distinctive approach is that it explores important aspects of manager and leader motivation and behavior, as well as team building, alongside the process themes.'
John Thompson, Emeritus Professor of Entrepreneurship, University of Huddersfield, UK; Professor of Social Entrepreneurship, Anglia Ruskin University, UK

'This is a book that should be read by anyone leading a project, or aspiring to lead one. It combines a broad review of all the best theory in project leadership with lots of practical advice on how to lead a project to success. It recognizes the increasingly complex world in which project managers must operate and will encourage readers to think deeply about the role of the project leader. It is well laid out and easy to read, and the text is complemented with excellent diagrams and models.'
Eric Woodcock, CEng FRSA, Project expert and teacher
