A real-world guide for adapting to the new energy era
The Energy Disruption Triangle is a treatise on the energy revolution's real-world impacts, and a handbook for anyone looking to weather the storm. Three major technologies are already changing the energy paradigm: solar energy, electric vehicles, and energy storage. As technology continues to evolve and become more accessible to the masses, the nation's energy habits will experience a dramatic upheaval; this book provides actionable guidance to help you adapt.
We are already in the beginning stages of this black swan event, and most people don't know what's coming―but it will come much sooner and much faster than anyone thinks. This book reveals the revolution happening right before our eyes, and shows you how to thrive in this new era.
Rapidly advancing battery technology is boosting energy storage for homeowners, utilities, and electric vehicle manufacturers, stranding fossil fuels in the ground due to the high price of extraction relative to cost-effective sources such as solar and wind. Traditional energy sources are being phased out, and our nation has come to a fork in the road: uphold the status quo and allow our energy supply to be disrupted, or adapt and advance to a state of total energy independence. The Energy Disruption Triangle explores the state of U.S. energy from source to consumer, and provides insight into the three sectors that are changing the world.

Praise for THE ENERGY DISRUPTION TRIANGLE
"I've been honored to work with author David Fessler for over 15 years. After reading his new book on the Energy Disruption Triangle, I'm making it a must-read for my financial research team. In his new book, Dave's passion and optimism for 'energy disruption' comes through loud and clear."
Julia Guth, CEO and Executive Publisher, The Oxford Club, LLC
"Dave Fessler lives at the conjunction of technology, financial journalism, and energy. This new book describes a highly attractive vision of the future of energy, driven by technological advances. People who care about investing, energy, technology, or simply the ascent of humankind will find this book both fascinating, and hopeful."
Rick Rule, President and CEO, Sprott US Holdings Inc.
"Dave Fessler has provided the energy producing and consuming world of tomorrow with insight and perspective we can't do without. From his historical descriptions of energy, transportation and power generation to his examination of current trends and then to his extraordinary and exciting projections of what's to come, his book shatters status quo perceptions of our energy and environmental future. This book will inform and instruct people from all walks of life, including policymakers, who need to get behind these changes."
John Hofmeister, Founder and CEO, Citizens for Affordable Energy, Former President, Shell Oil Company
"With The Energy Disruption Triangle, Dave Fessler paints a scintillating portrait of energy as it was, as it is, and as it will soon be. The price of generating and storing energy is falling precipitously. As constant consumers of energy, we owe it to ourselves to learn all we can how it's made, how it reaches us, how we use it and for my money, there's no better way than the book you're holding right now."
Frank Holmes, CEO and Chief Investment Officer, U.S. Global Investors
"Energy. Behind food and water, it's the most important thing in our lives. The changing face of energy will result in either the salvation or destruction of life as we know it. It's still early in this game, maybe the first inning. But, without an expert guide you are literally in the dark. Dave Fessler is that guide. He has been spot-on with his analysis of the coming disruption in what we know as energy…early on solar, on EVs, and now on energy storage. You don't want to miss what's coming next, and that is why you should inhale every word of this book."
Karim Rahemtulla, Chief Options Strategist, The Oxford Club
"Dave Fessler has been my go-to conventional and alternative energy guru for years. His perspective of both markets from the financial and technical aspects is unsurpassed. His background in electrical engineering adds a practical dimension to his analysis. His new book, The Energy Disruption Triangle, is the single best analysis for solar energy, battery storage, and EVs, to date. It's a huge, flashing neon sign about the future of energy."
Steve McDonald, Chief Bond Strategist, The Oxford Club
It's easy to underestimate the pace of technology development. When Thomas Edison started installing lightbulbs in the homes of the rich and famous, hardly anyone imagined that, within 20 years, the gas lighting companies would be out of business and there would be 30 competing electrical companies operating in New York City alone. Similarly, when the first cell phones started to appear on the market, no one guessed that the devices would fit snugly in the pockets of well over half of the world's population within just a couple of short decades.
We are currently in the midst of another disruptive revolution in technology an energy revolution. Although there have been plenty of books written about the individual parts of this new disruption, The Energy Disruption Triangle is the first to really look comprehensively at the "big three" energy technologies changing the way we live today: solar energy, electric vehicles, and energy storage. Although most of us can sense that a change is coming, author David Fessler argues that we are almost certainly not prepared to understand just how soon that change will be here.
Is it possible that, within 20 years, everyone will be driving electric cars, the vast majority of fossil fuels will remain in the ground, and the morning smog report will be a thing of the past? The Energy Disruption Triangle delves into the past, present, and future of sustainable energy to reveal that, not only is it possible, it's nearly inevitable. Going beyond the theoretical, David Fessler provides tangible evidence and concrete advice that will help readers prepare their homes, families, and businesses for the coming energy disruption. We can weather this impending, fast-paced energy disruption, if we start now.
