The year 1789 was a turning point in history. It was the point of transition between the Old Order and the New (Modern Society); it was the dawn of Liberty and Equality. It was also the first time that men thought of problem-solving in terms of "revolution". The purpose of this book is to explain why this transition took the form of revolution and to examine the waves produced by the revolution which spread throughout all Europe and permeated all facets of society.
