As she expired immediately after the birth of the child, they replaced her in the grave, and, taking the infant with them, they intrusted its concealment, as well as its education, to the ventriloquist's mistress. Thus the poor child, which had been buried before it was born, was known everywhere as the child of Death I You cannot imagine the grief I suffered, while still a child, when they called me by that name.
