About the Author

"Uday S. Dixit is currently Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati. With around 5 years of industry experience and 15 years of experience in the academia, he has contributed several papers to journals of international repute. Author of three books, he has also prepared a web-based course on Engineering Mechanics. His research interests include metal forming, machining, FEM, neural networks, fuzzy sets and mechatronics. R. Ganesh Narayanan is currently Assistant Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati. He has published papers in international journals and conferences and contributed a number of book chapters. His areas of research include sheet metal forming, cold forging, joining and forming, tailor welded blanks, formability and forming limit and computational applications in metal forming."
