If it isn't obvious, I love to write. Or, more to the point, I can't stop writing. If there is a bug out there that gives you the urge to write anything and everything to do with sci-fi or fantasy, then I have got it bad. Stories have been a part of my life since I was knee high to a grasshopper. Mind you, as my grandson keeps telling me, I am not much bigger now. My sister still remembers me telling her stories every night when we couldn't sleep. Or, rather, she couldn't and didn't see why I should. I can see stories in anything – the splash of water against the side of a boat, even my cat running off with a plastic bag. I just can't help it, I have to write. If I don't, the stories will plague me day and night, never leaving me alone for one moment. Until I put pen to paper, that is (or keyboard, as writing by hand is now a forgotten art. Not that I miss it. It is so much easier to rectify your mistakes with just a press of a button, instead of wasting reams of paper as we once did. For which the rainforests are probably grateful).
