About the Author

Scott M. Brooks, PhD, is a founding partner and vice president at OrgVitality, a global management consulting company. With over twenty years' experience, Scott offers organizations and individuals the tools they need to drive strategic change based on surveys, HR metrics, and research that connects leadership, operations, customer loyalty, and business results. Nationally recognized and frequently cited, Scott has consulted to improve the effectiveness of some of the most impressive organizations on the planet, representing diverse industries such as retail, financial services, high tech, health care, non-profit, and other service industries. He has authored numerous presentations and publications based on business strategy, scorecards and performance metrics, organizational culture, and how all these components relate to one another. He has also written a mystery novel. Scott frequently speaks at conferences and company meetings. He holds a PhD in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from The Ohio State University and a Bachelor of Arts from Cornell University. Jeffrey M. Saltzman is the CEO of OrgVitality and an Associated Fellow at the Center for Leadership Studies, School of Management, at Binghamton University where he teaches leadership to MBA students. Jeff has over 30 years' experience in the field of Industrial/Organizational Psychology, working in the areas of organizational culture measurement, organizational development, strategic planning, executive coaching, selection and assessment, training and succession planning. Jeff has previously grown and sold a consulting practice and has overseen OrgVitality's 30 percent to 40 percent per year growth since its founding. Jeff has extensive experience in diverse settings, consulting with industry, financial services, retail, media, high technology, service companies, not-for-profits, and government agencies on how to improve organizational performance. Jeff has authored three other books based on his very popular blog postings on improving organizational performance. Based in New York, he has traveled and worked extensively in Europe, Latin America, and Asia-Pacific. He has a Master's in Industrial Organizational Psychology from the University of Akron and a Bachelor's in Psychology from Binghamton University.
