Elin Wagner (1882-1949) was a popular novelist in Sweden, con- erned with women's rights, world peace, and social responsibility. She was the second woman, after Selma Lagerlof, elected to the Swedish Academy. She was active in international women's peace organizations between World Wars I and II, and one of the founders of the Swedish Save the Children.
