David has just dumped the girl he loved. But it wasnt his fault. Not really. She made him do it. After all, she was The Eater of Souls. And now she's buried in the relationship graveyard that is David's cell phone directoryalongside Opera Girl, Bendy Girl, and Totem Pole. The only problem is, The Eater of Souls is still eating him up.
He misses everything about her. Even her stubborn refusal to have sex with him because she felt like her dog was watching.
Then along comes The Goddess. She's perfect: funny, attractive and, most importantly, single. In short, she's every booty nomad's fantasy: she might just be The One. But the Goddess is, um, a Goddessnot so easy to catch and even harder to keep. And nobody is capable of messing up the really important things in life quite like our romantically inspired hero.
From the pathetic paranoias of the lovelorn to the cringe-worthy screwups of the love- struck, Booty Nomad is a wickedly funny and unexpectedly touching novel. Shot through with smart dialogue and lovably mixed-up characters, it presents a view of modern life that will seem painfully familiar to all booty nomads out there....

Scott Mebus is a novelist, songwriter, playwright, comic, and music producer. His rock musical Tarnish appeared in the New York International Fringe Festival. Most recently, Scott was a producer for MTV and VH1, where he worked on the Tom Green Show, Real World, and MTV Yoga. He lives in New York City.
David, a young Manhattanite and producer of children's TV programs, has just dumped his longtime love and is searching for a new one. Events humorous, touching, provocative, and at times implausible follow, peppered with monologues and dialogues both raunchy and hilarious. An original pop song following the story, though uninspired, clearly conveys the characters' emotions. Mark Feuerstein reads energetically, with excellent comic timing, but has minimal ability to distinguish voices, so we are often left wondering who said what. But the listener muddles through, and even this flaw is no reason to pass up this funny, engaging novel. W.M. © AudioFile 2004, Portland, Maine-- Copyright © AudioFile, Portland, Maine
