Synopsis
The Unhappy Millionaire Doctor... Small town chiropractor, Dr. Anson Archer has hit big-time T.V. success as host of the 'Straighten Up America!" show. Too big of success. He has made enemies. The Desperate T.V. reporter... Sydney Walsh, once the top investigative T.V. reporter in Denver, finds herself, at age forty, back in the minors, reporting on train wrecks and grain silo accidents at the same small town Kansas station where Archer produces his show. Sydney couldn't care less about chiropractic care. She just wants a date with a decent man, preferably someone whose vocabulary includes three-syllable words and who can offer her some respite from the loneliness of her life on the prairie. The Unthinkable conspiracy... What she gets is fired, made a patsy in a murder/fraud scheme that lands Archer in the state mental hospital. Unemployed and running for her life, she works to piece together an unthinkable truth. Meanwhile, Archer, isolated in a world of madness, rediscovers that his own hands, and the healing power he artfully delivers with them, are far more powerful than he ever imagined. If only Sydney, on the run and alone on the wind-driven prairie, can expose the evil plot ...before it consumes her, too.

About the Author
Chris Rhoades was born in Denver, Colorado but has lives in Mississippi, Wyoming, California, and New York. In the early nineties he wrote feature stories for the San Diego Union-Tribune. In 1987, Rhoades earned a B.A. in Political Science at the University of Southern Mississippi. In 1992, he earned a Law Degree at the University of Wyoming. He is currently working on a sequel to The Truth, which he promises will be even more diabolical than the original. Rhodes resides in the Denver area, where he lives with his wife, Diane, and his two dogs. Rhodes currently teaches English courses at Remington College in Lakewood, Colorado and also teaches a course he created dealing with writing The Great American Novel.
