About the Author
DR W. M. C. McKENZIE is a Lecturer in Structural Engineering at Napier University, specialising in Structural Analysis and Structural Design. He has previously worked as a design engineer for both contractors and consultants and is still actively involved in consultancy and research. He has published numerous academic papers as well as three course textbooks published by Palgrave Macmillan.

The book compares favourably with other texts, above all in the number of examples which are typical of industry rather than just academic. The scope of this text is wide and its numerous examples and diagrams should make it an ideal course text. The book has been read, but is in excellent condition.
