About the Author:

Professor John Scholefield is Professor of surgery atUniversity Hospital in Nottingham. He is doing research intopossible screening tests for spotting colorectal cancer early andcell changes in colorectal cancer. He chairs the National CancerResearch Institute's colorectal cancer group, and is also a memberof Council of the Association of Surgeons.
