About the Author
Piers Bizony is a full-time popular science writer. He has won NASA's Eugene Emme Ward award for Astronautical writing for his book chronicling the Mars Viking hunt for life in the 1970s, The Rivers of Mars: Searching for the Cosmic Origins of Life. His 2001: Filming the Future charted the production of the most famous alien encounter in movie history, 2001: A Space Odyssey, and won a Krasna Kraus award for best film-related book published in the year.
