Synopsis
This is a beautiful, rhythmic, read-aloud text taking the reader on a fantasy train ride through a storm at night. When the rain fingers drum out a dance on the pane. When the windows are foggy enough for my name. A pitter-pat-pat, a pitter-pat-pat, a pittery-pittery-pittery-pat. When it's thundering down on the roof, in the lane, from the storm, comes the call...'All aboard the Rain Train'! Join the children for a journey on the Rain Train. Listen to the noises the train makes as it moves through the countryside and into the dark night. It's rhythmic text with onomatopoeic train sounds is perfect for reading aloud. This is a story with universal trains are a popular subject with children. It combines all the elements of a long-distance train journey with imaginative play. It features dramatic artwork by award-winning illustrator Brian Lovelock.
