Mole had never seen the sunrise. "I'd love to see it," he said. When his good friends, Vole, Rabbit, Squirrel and Sparrow take him down to the lake to show him the sunrise, their vivid descriptions help him to see it in his mind and he is able to imagine the rising sun and experience its beauty for himself.

Review:
The delicate, muted watercolours in Mole's Sunrise turn a simple story into the most moving exploration of friendship and imagination. Each page brightens expectedly as the sun comes up. * Daily Telegraph * Deceptively simple, this book is ideal to read at home or at nursery school as it teaches about the senses and about friendship and empathy. * Books For Keeps * Willis's evocative language and Fox-Davies's soft illustrations create a gentle celebration of the natural world... Gorgeous. * Junior * This simple story is a touching tale of friendship and the importance of our imagination * Booktrust *
