Synopsis
A family of irresistibly sweet bears in an irresistibly sweet bedtime story. It's time to go to sleep, time for Big Brown Bear to tuck all four little bears into their beds. About the Author
Shirley Parenteau has written a number of books for children, including Bears on Chairs. She lives in Elk Grove, California. David Walker has illustrated several children's books, including Bears on Chairs. He lives in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

PreS-Five beds are waiting for five bears. Big Brown Bear comes first and settles sleepily in the one big bed. Then gradually the little beds are occupied by Yellow, Fuzzy, Calico, and Floppy Bear, and they all snuggle down and go to sleep. But wait! What is that sound? "They heard the wind./They had a scare./They're afraid to stay/in their beds over there." So, all five end up cuddling in Big Brown Bear's bed. Set against pages of mostly blue and lavender shades, the soft pastel acrylic illustrations picture the huggable cubs perfectly.
