Synopsis
While trying to recover from a mysterious illness, Ellen finds solace in reading an old, leather-bound diary she has found in her grandmother's attic. But the bizarre, unsettling history she reads is so strangely linked to her own life that resting proves impossible. In fact, she starts to feel even more weak and listless than ever before... almost as though something sinister is reaching across the centuries trying to claim her, drain her, and bleed her dry...

About the Author
Celia Rees revisited her teen interest in gothic stories of ghosts, the supernatural, and Bram Stoker's Dracula as inspiration for Blood Sinister. Celia taught English in Coventry secondary schools for over ten years, which she says provided her with ample writing inspiration. She has published numerous teen novels, including Witch Child.
