About the Author:

Francesca Simon worked for 12 years as a freelance arts journalist, writing for the Sunday times, and The Guardian amongst others. Francesca wrote her first children's book in 1989 and has gone from strength to strength ever since. She lives in London with her husband and son. Francesca Simon spent her childhood on the beach in California, and then went to Yale and Oxford Universities to study medieval history and literature. She now lives in London with her family. She has written over 50 books and won THE CHILDREN'S BOOK OF THE YEAR at the Galaxy British Book Awards for HORRID HENRY AND THE ABOMINABLE SNOWMAN. From a dynamic author/illustrator combo; a lovely bedtime story: a little boy sharing his favourite things with the Moon until falling asleep. A complete joy. -- Angels and Urchins Angels and Urchins Tiny tots will enjoy these large luscious spreads of night time fantasy. There are lovely scenes to look at including deep-diving mermaids and cloud-topped mountains, smiling tigers and lots of happy children all looking out to the moon. -- Booktrust We loved the beautiful illustrations. -- Story Star reviewers, Xavier and Francisco Charlie particularly enjoyed this, he could identify with the little boy and his questions! We use looking at the moon to help him sleep anyway.
