The only parenting book that offers a unique, step-by-step guide to enable parents to solve baby care problems for themselves.
The Baby Detective is the only book of the parenting genre to develop a unique, step-by-step investigative process that will enable parents to solve their own baby care problems. It puts them firmly back in the driving seat, giving them the tools to do away with sometimes conflicting and confusing expert advice, and to face parenting challenges using their own intuition.
Drawing on case studies of Sarah's previous clients, the book is based around her unique principle of AIM, in which parents are guided through the process of Assessing a problematic situation, Investigating the possible causes and Modifying behavior in order to resolve it. It provides insight in to how and why environment, biology and personality interact to affect your baby, as well as suggesting numerous tips and strategies for remedying problems.

Sarah Norris is one of the most accomplished and experienced maternity nurses in the UK. She is an expert in her field, and has cared for over 250 babies during career, which has spanned over two decades. She has worked for celebrity couples including Sienna Miller and Tom Sturridge, Jessica and James Purefoy, and a number of the Guinness family. Getting her message out to as many families as possible is Sarah's passion and life's work.
I recently received the book The Baby Detective by Sarah Norris to read and review and I have to say I was really upset....really upset that I did not get this book before my little girl was born. A definite must read for any first time mums and those suffering a crisis of confidence. So for me this is definitely worth the read and would really recommend this as a baby shower gift for any new mums to be out there. They might not appreciate the book over the cute outfits to start off with but trust me, a few weeks in and when they pick this book up they will be thanking you non stop!―Stephanie Outlaw, Alexie.co
After caring for my daughter myself for the first 3 months Sarah came to help when I returned to filming. Her experience, insight and problem solving skills were invaluable and ensured that everybody's needs were more than met―Sienna Miller
A wonderful book that should be one of the first items on the shopping list for new parents.―Dr Neil Shah, Consultant Paediatric Gastroenterologist
Sarah's calm, point-by-point approach is the perfect way to talk down frazzled mamas who can't work out what's upsetting their baby - so don't panic, she's got your back. And her chapter on What Is Normal is hugely reassuring.―GURGLE MAGAZINE
It's definitely one we can recommend to our mums. I particularly liked the bits about winding.―Louisa, founder of www.lulubaby.co.uk
