Synopsis

A veteran, award-winning CNN correspondent presents a stunning debut novel that's part page-turning international thriller and part old-fashioned love story. When world-renowned oceanographer Cordelia Stapleton goes to Monaco to accept an award on behalf of her great-great-grandfather, a famous Victorian polar explorer, she makes a connection that changes her life. Handsome archaeologist John Sinclair reveals to her that she is heir to a valuable land deed. Soon Cordelia and Sinclair embark on a roller coaster journey to track down Cordelia's inheritance.

From the Author

The Explorer's Code was born of my love for the Arctic and exploration.  I have followed the interesting developments in Arctic exploration in recent years and the melting of the polar cap, and what that means for resource development.  That said, I wanted to bring these issues to my readers in a very light vehicle that would real like a romantic thriller.  Learning about interesting things should not be homework.  The Explorer's Code is very much a book you cant take on vacation, to the beach, or read at night after a long day at work.  It is entirely meant to entertain.  But a little information along the way can't hurt.   I hope you like my character Cordelia. She is a strong independent woman and very much as strong as the hero, John Sinclair.  I made her an oceanographer, because that is one of the most interesting jobs I can imagine.  Happy reading!
