Synopsis
From The Bay of Refuge in Tonga, to sailing along the coast of Turkey in The Aegean Sea, to the Lotus Cafe in Ubud, Bali, Rae has a story to tell. Shock, bewilderment, depression followed the sudden death of her lover ending thirty-seven years of marriage. Struggling to find a purpose to carry on alone, the author pushed herself to meet each new challenge. A short but successful career as a Realtor provided her with the financial means to travel. Chartering as a guest or as a participant, Rae set out alone to sail the seas and the oceans of the world. Reinventing herself she discovered peace and fulfillment in her new life.

About the Author
Born in Utah, raised in California with a brief career as a child actress, Rae married and raised two children in Northern Califonia. Retirement took she and her husband to Oregon briefly before he died. Returning to California, Rae began a career selling real estate, taking writing classes and traveling.
Rae Caplan now lives in Los Gatos, CA with her family, including three great-grandchildren, nearby. She volunteers in a special education class once a week, and carries on world-wide correspondences with friends she's made during her travel. Rae continues writing of her travels, the most recent being to Antarctica. She has visited seven continents and says, "I've been lucky and have stayed healthy. I will keep going as long as I am able to."
